The PIM program is a customized portfolio management program geared toward your specific investment goals. At Transitions Wealth Management, James Martin, Lyle Cogbill, and Eric Miller have earned the PIM Portfolio Manager title by completing the stringent training course and passing the ethics and proxy exams.

Working with a PIM Portfolio Manager frees your time and puts your investment allocation in the hands of trained professionals. And of course, your needs and goals always remain at the center of your investment plan.

The PIM program is not appropriate for all investors. Please carefully review the Wells Fargo Advisors advisory disclosure document for a full description of our services. The minimum account size for this program is $50,000.

Less than 10% of the firm’s financial advisors have met the criteria to participate in in the Private Investment Management (PIM) Program.

Investment Planning Process

In keeping with our mission to help you create highly customized, tactical plans, our investment planning process is centered around your goals for your life and your finances. Our clear-cut process is aimed at helping you feel confident, even as your life continues to change and transition through its many stages.

Step 1: Introductory Meeting

First, we meet with you to get to know one another and determine if we’re a good, mutual fit. We want you to connect with the right advisor just as much as you want to. You will share information about your goals for the future, and we’ll answer any questions you have.

Step 2: Information Gathering

Once we’ve determined that we’ll move forward together, we’ll gather more information about your current financial situation and the next steps you’d like to take. We’ll ask you to share more about your risk tolerance, dreams, priorities, retirement goals, estate planning needs, insurance needs, and more.

Step 3: Recommending Your Customized Plan

Then, we present our recommendations to you. Through our investment planning technology and our extensive planning knowledge, we provide you with an assessment of your financial picture. We also document your goals and evaluate your progress toward reaching them.

Step 4: Reviewing Your Progress Through Transitions

We implement your plan once you’ve approved it and keep a close watch on your portfolio’s performance. We recognize that your life will continue to go through transitions. Together, we continue to chart your progress toward meeting your goals and adjust your plan to it keeps up with your evolving life.

More Wealth Management Tools

Investment planning too often boils down to cookie-cutter investment mixes and generalized guesswork regarding your financial needs. It’s better than nothing, but it’s impersonal and vague.

That’s why Wells Fargo Advisors’ Envision  process helps you plan your investments around benchmarks and life events that hold real meaning for you. The process can connect you to your investment strategy in a refreshing and personal way. Even better, it can help you answer that most critical of financial questions, “How am I doing?” The Envision process offers you and your financial advisor the tools and technology you need to discuss your life expectations, decide on an appropriate investment strategy, review your progress, and update your approach whenever necessary.

Planning for your next big purchase? Saving for your child or grandchild’s education? Or perhaps you’re a business owner and would like assistance with managing loans, bills, and paying employees? We take a holistic approach to helping you save, budget, and plan for your next big financial move.

What are your goals for retirement, and how do you plan to achieve them? Our team helps you sort out the specifics – transitioning from working to retirement, building your legacy, and smoothing out the change in cash flow. You will have the flexibility to adjust your plan as needed to support your desired lifestyle, pre- and post-retirement.

Solutions for Every Transition

Our comprehensive suite of services, products, and solutions help us create a customized plan that aligns with what you hope to achieve.

Envision® methodology: Based on accepted statistical methods, the Envision tool uses a simulation model to test your Ideal, Acceptable and Recommended Investment Plans. The simulation model uses assumptions about inflation, financial market returns and the relationships among these variables. These assumptions were derived from analysis of historical data. Using Monte Carlo simulation, the Envision tool simulates 1,000 different potential outcomes over a lifetime of investing varying historical risk, return, and correlation amongst the assets. Some of these scenarios will assume strong financial market returns, similar to the best periods of history for investors. Others will be similar to the worst periods in investing history. Most scenarios will fall somewhere in between.
